Disston to 40th Street Project

Huxted Trenchless installed two parallel horizontal directional drills (HDDs), approximately 2,375 LF and 2,410 LF in length, for the Disston Substation to 40th Street Substation 230kV underground transmission line. The installed product consisted of bundled HDPE conduits of various sizes.

James River Crossing

Huxted Trenchless performed the intersect HDD installation of approximately 5,700 LF of 42-inch DR 11 HDPE to serve as a new HRSD force main beneath the James River. Huxted’s scope included drilling and intersecting the pilot bores, reaming the completed bore to approximately 54 inches, and the final pullback and installation of the 42-inch product pipe.

South Hillsborough Pipeline

The Tampa Bay Water South Hillsborough Pipeline consists of approximately 26 miles of 42-inch to 60-inch water transmission main extending through rapidly developing urban corridors in Brandon and Riverview, Florida.

Champlain Hudson Power Express Project

The project consists of eight shoreline crossing drills at four drill locations in New York: Putnam Station, Cementon, Congers and Stony Point. Each crossing installs two 12-inch DR 9 HDPE pipes, with bore lengths ranging from 900 LF to 2,500 LF.

Martha’s Vineyard Cable Project

Huxted Trenchless completed four HDD shore approach crossings for the installation of two NSTAR hybrid submarine cables across Nantucket Sound in Massachusetts. On the mainland in Falmouth, Huxted installed two crossings of 2,117 feet and 2,520 feet with 18-inch HDPE pipe.

San Juan Lateral Project

Huxted Trenchless completed three separate HDD installations on the San Juan Lateral for the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project in San Juan County, New Mexico.
