Microtunneling allows utilities to be installed with precise line and grade control while minimizing excavation, surface disruption, maintaining earth and hydrostatic counter balance and environmental impact. Using remotely operated, guided tunnel boring systems and pipe jacking methods, Huxted installs critical infrastructure beneath roads, railroads, waterways, wetlands, developed corridors and other sensitive areas where open-cut construction is not practical or acceptable.
