Huxted Trenchless installed two parallel horizontal directional drills (HDDs), approximately 2,375 LF and 2,410 LF in length, for the Disston Substation to 40th Street Substation 230kV underground transmission line. The installed product consisted of bundled HDPE conduits of various sizes.

The project also included three microtunnels with lengths of 184 LF, 551 LF and 150 LF. For the microtunnel installations, Huxted furnished and installed the 48-inch HOBAS FRP casing pipe, the corresponding jacking and reception shafts, and the carrier pipe bundles within the completed tunnels.
